If you paid for the flight: You will receive a Travel Funds credit for the difference in the fare price. You have one year from the date you initially booked the flight to use the credit not from the date you rebooked.
Travel Funds credits are nontransferable and can only be used for the same passenger. If you used points for the flight: The difference in points will automatically go back into the account from which those points were deducted. After analyzing the data so far, the one month that rarely seems to have any good deals or a decrease in airfares is the month of July. Joined Feb 7, SW has been incredibly high on all flights lately, so much that even all the frequent flyers and business people are complaining. They are retiring a lot of planes this year and they announced that they are not overbooking flights anymore, but I don't know if that is the reason.
It seems like all the flights to and from Florida are astronomical now. It's cheaper at Bradley to fly to Scotland Joined Dec 21, Nope, none of them are cheaper. How's that for letting the wind out of one's sails? You might want to check yourself though I agree, as a very frequent flyer of Southwest for both business and pleasure for a couple of decades, their airfares getting downright painful compared to other airlines. Certainly no longer the bargain carrier.
